So...apparently right now is the time EVERYONE is studying plants. :) Have you noticed that? We started growing our lima beans today...here's crossing my fingers they sprout!! :) I wanted to post a super simple little activity that my kiddos LOVED today. It was like zero prep, and they had a lot of fun and had some great scientific discussions. :) I just gave each small group some seeds...I think I gave them lima beans, black eyed peas, pinto beans, sunflower seeds, and little black seeds that I'm not sure about! Ha! They just sorted them into types and I heard them trying to predict what type of plants they would turn in to, and comparing their attributes!
I forgot to post this anchor chart, but here is another quick little warm up/discussion we did! I didn't want to post it, because I don't remember where I got the pictures, but if you email me, I will totally send it to you! :)
And finally, here are some books we will be reading while we study plants. :)
Click any of the images to head over to Amazon! :) And don't forget to email me at mysillyfirsties@gmail.com to get the printables for the anchor chart! :)
