Home Run!

Okay, my shower was AWESOME. My sweet friend Sarah...who may or may not stalk this blog...got the award for most creative gift! :) She made these PRECIOUS felt fortune cookies and wrote sweet little marriage fortunes for us in them. I had a blast reading all of them!

I feel so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life who totally spoiled Keith and I.

ANDDDDDD, thanks to Sweet Michelle at Mrs. G.'s Kindergarten Heels for a Lovely Blog award! :) Head on over to her super cute, and super zebra (my FAVORITE!!!!!) blog!

As promised, I made a super fun little baseball pack of centers, and since the Rangers WON, I figured I had to post it right now. I am soooo excited about this pack...I've never been more excited for one. I think because it's baseball, I think the centers are really useful, and I remembered recording sheets for some of them, ha! :) Here is a breakdown of the 10 centers!

1. Number Words Match
2. Color Words Match (the threads on the baseball are colored...um, super cute!)
3. Greatest/Least Ordering with 2 recording sheets (2 digit numbers)
4. Doubles Concentration to 20+20
5. Measurement (There are 2 of these stations...one is an ordering from small->biggest and one uses nonstandard measurement. It is a Write the Room and students will see how many baseballs it takes to measure each player! Of course this has a recording sheet)
6. Scrambled Sentences (Students match up the players to build their scrambled sentences. They are all about baseball, and have pretty easy words. There is a recording sheet with primary lines, and one with just boxes.)
7. Tens and Ones Concentration (The baseballs have pictures of tens/ones blocks and they match the 2 digit place value blocks to the correct digits)
8. Write the Room (Students write the baseball word by the matching player...would be great for ELLs, vocabulary building, or decoding...you could also print out 2 copies and make a concentration game out of it)
9. Vowel and Consonant Sort- Students sort upper and lower case letters as vowels and consonants
10. Compound Words- Students build compound words by putting the bases together
