So...I just want to say, I love teaching. I love First Grade, and I love blogging. I LOVE making things for my babies, that I know will make my year easier, and their first grade year more engaging. But, I've been a bit discouraged looking at my TPT sales...so far, I've made $5.00. I really started thinking "is this worth it?" and asking myself "why am I doing this?" Then I thought, "I'm doing it because I'm passionate about what I do, and I truly enjoy creating."I realized I wasn't disappointed because I made 5.00, I was disappointed because I didn't feel like enough people were getting to use what I was making. I got an email from a first year teacher today asking about my teacher binder and I was like "omg! have this and whatever else you want!" I realized that's what makes me happy...giving back. So, that's what I'm going to do.
I hope you will all head over to my store and grab anything that looks good to you! It's all free now, and will probably stay that way. :) And then tell your friends! And their friends! :)
For some reason, I can't figure out how to load my PDFs into Google Docs...I think it's because I make them in Publisher. When I figure that out, I will probably put everything on there. Until then, everything is a free download on TPT. Be sure to follow me so that you know when I upload more freebies. :)
I have totally been the overwhelmed first year teacher, and the teacher in a new grade level, and I just hope I can ease that burden just a little bit with fun freebies!
Have a super Thursday! :)
That's so sweet of you. I'm headed to your store to download some things now. I have a flash freebie going on in my store right now. Be sure to check it out.

What a wonderful way to help your fellow teachers. I will be student teaching in the fall and understand that feeling of being overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteI nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award.

You mentioned Publisher. Is that what you use to make your activities? I've never used that program but lately I'm feeling very limited by what I'm able to do in Microsoft Word. Do you have any recommendations for Programs to use and good websites for clipart, specifically page borders? I am already somewhat familiar with letteringdelights.com, kevinandamanda.com, and scrappindoodles.com (very little, but I've heard of it). I just want to be able to make great things for my future students. Any help you can give is much appreciated! :o)
