And here's my answers! :)
1. Texas...duh!
2. First Grade!! I like to say that I'm an inclusion and teacher of ELLs too, because that plays such a huge role in my planning and teaching! :) I'm so lucky to be in both of those roles too!
3. This will be my 3rd year...shh!
4. Like 2 weeks ago?? :) I think I actually started this blog like in May, but didn't really start blogging until very recently.
5. Know your copyright laws! I made so many products with Microsoft Clipart before I realized I couldn't resell any of that. I know that's more about TPT, but for me, it's kind of one big bundle.
Love your new layout- it's bright!
ReplyDeleteGlad you found my "disappearing" post! haha... I wanted to stop by and give you my email in case you didn't see it on my blog. It's so sweet of you two share the rainbow activities with me. My students love the lesson last year and I'm sure your cute activities will make it even better! Thank you!

So excited to hear you are a first grade teacher from the great state of TEXAS! I was born and raised in Texas and am also a first grade teacher :) Come visit my blog and we can share ideas!
ReplyDeleteOur Future is Bright
LOL! We are opposites! We should swap lesson plans! Actually, once school starts and I have access to my school computer, I am going to post lots of first grade stuff. When I was first out of college, I actually interviewed around Dallas because my favorite aunt and cousins live there. But, California offered me a job first and so, back to sunny S. California I went. Dallas has a special place in my heart! I love how friendly everyone is, but the humidity--yuck! I'm glad you joined the Newbie blog hop! Keep up your blogging! (And, I didn't know about the Microsoft clip art thing...so thanks!)
ReplyDeleteGrade Three is the Place for Me
Hello from another first-grade teacher! :) The tip about clip art is a good one. I tend to snag lots of photos from Google when I make things for my class. I have to keep telling myself that I can't share them (and probably shouldn't have used the image in the first place...).

Hi, I am a new follower via the Newbie Blog Hop. Thanks for your tip about Microsoft. When I was looking into using their clipart, I found a post that said we could use it. I wasn't sure if I trusted the website (or the author) so I went ahead and found some different clip art. Now, I'm really happy I did. I would love for you to hop over and check out my blog.

Hey there! I appreciate your tip about Microsoft clipart. I have used a few things and went searching at the Microsoft website to double check. From what I read, you could use them as long as the primary purpose of the download is not the image itself. ???? Maybe I read it wrong. You can check out the link here. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint-help/what-uses-of-photos-clip-art-and-font-images-are-prohibited-HP003090087.aspx
ReplyDeleteI will have to change some of my items that do not use my own personal clipart if I am misunderstanding this. LOL
