New Behavior Freebies and a Math Interactive Notebooks!

Hi friends! How is your weekend?? I have literally done NOTHING today and it has felt amazing. I even agreed to watch a little bit of the football game with my hubby, UGH. Football is NOT my favorite, haha.

I've talked a little about my kiddos this year but they are CHATTY. We struggle to get anything done quietly...really I only expect it during tests and in the hallways, haha. Oh and when I'm talking! They know that's a big one!

We had to rewrite some of our classroom rules a few weeks ago. We reflected on how we were doing and what things we need to work on. We came up with these that hang on my board. We go over them ALOT. You can click the picture to grab your copy of them! I put a little cue on each one to remind them what those rules REALLY mean.

We also have been working HARD on our hallway behavior. We say our poem from my First Days unit everyday but it hasn't made the same impact calming them down as it has in the past. They say the poem and then start talking again, hahaha. :)

SO...I started a little incentive with them. I had planned on putting the letters UP when they earned one for great hallway behavior. But that was a little abstract for them. So we just get a check mark when they walk quietly down the hall. There are only a few times a day to earn them and we don't earn them unless they are REALLY good. I usually put a thumbs up/down in the air to show them how they are doing.

When they earn all their check marks, we earn a class reward. They were SUPER pumped about these. I put the letters and rewards together for you and you can grab those by clicking on the picture!

Finally, I wanted to introduce you to a new little product I just uploaded. I'm super excited about this one. It's my first Interactive Notebook!! :) It focuses on number sense for numbers 1-20. It hits on addition a little bit with the combination activities.

Here are a few example pages!

I included a version with an "I Can" statement at the top and one with a cut little title. You choose what works best for your class!! :)

There are a few different types of pages...I tried to keep it very simple for kiddos and teachers who are just starting to use interactive notebooks!

I hope you will go and check it out! It's on sale for $3.00 for the rest of the weekend! Do you get Monday off?! I do and I am SO excited for an extra day to rest and relax! My fabulous mother-in-law and I are starting the Advocare 24 day challenge on Monday, too!! :) Super excited about that!

I hope you guys have a fabulous weekend!! :) If you get bored, watch Homeland. Amazing!!

  1. I use a tally reward system as well. My firsties have already earned pajama/teddy bear day. We are now working toward a popcorn-movie party. I see you do a movie party as well. Any suggestions for short films? I am a first year teacher.
