Field Trips

So...when I taught 3rd grade, the TAKS test kept me up at night. All night. All the time. Now that I have the sweet LITTLE ones, field trips are what keep me up at night. I think I have been on 7 field trips as the teacher. And before every field trip, I have nightmares for a week! I'm telling you...they TERRIFY me! This year I was on the field trip committee for my team, so not only was I scared of losing my little ones, I was scared I would forget to pay for the field trip, or reserve the bus, etc. etc.

Fortunately, I won this adorable field trip packet from my good friend, Kayleigh. I wanted to show you some of my favorite pages from the pack. She seriously thought of everything, from the planning phases to the few hours after the field trip!

I LOVE that she remembered the lunch column...I knew exactly how many bag lunches to order from the cafeteria. :) And to remind your sweet little friends, she included adorable reminders!

She also included adorable labels and name tags for your chaperones, and this adorable tracking sheet so you can plan exactly who will travel with which chaperone.

And for all of you DFW teachers, my firsties and I went to the Dallas Heritage Village and it was actually super neat! It ties in so perfectly with our past/present TEKS, and the kids LOVED it. Best of all, it's fenced in, and all outside, so your kiddos have tons of fun walking around and seeing everything! AND...they only charge 2.00/student for Title 1 schools! Can't beat that!!
