Excitement

Can I just tell you how excited I am to be gearing up for a new year. Not gonna lie, I LOVE being home to take care of Keith and our sweet puppy Tucker. I love being able to make dinner, spend time with my teacher friends, and do my nails like 3 times a week. :) BUT, the thought of 21 new little faces to meet in August is just as exciting for me! Since pretty much all the wedding stuff is done, I figured I should REALLY start focusing on next year. I'm a little "distractible" so I had to come to Starbucks to get some real stuff done. I added lots of new activities to my TPT store, including this super cute freebie! All you have to do is cut along the lines, and you have 6 puzzles for your littles to practice skip counting!
Get these babies HERE at my TPT store. :)

Anyway, how do you spend the month before summer? I know all of my sweet friends with babies are soaking up all the time they can! I get sad at the thought of leaving Tucker in August (that's right...I'm a little bit of an obsessive puppy Mama), so I can't imagine what it's like for moms. I got to spend time with my friends Sarah today, and her PRECIOUS son, Peyton. OMG...cutest little boy ever. :)

I'm so excited, because next year Sarah and I will be pairing up for some multi-age lessons and activities. I've never done multi-age before, so I know it will be a new adventure. Sarah teaches Kinder, and I love how "wittle" those babies are in August!! Our rooms are right across from each other, so I'm hoping for smooth transitions throughout the day.  Fortunately, Sarah is INCREDIBLE, and has her master's in Special Ed...I know I will learn so much from her, and I can't wait to give ALL of our students a great Kinder/1st grade year. We aren't sure of the specifics yet, but we are thinking that Guided Reading and Guided Math will be perfect times in our day to switch kiddos back and forth.

Well, happy Friday! Yeah!! I'll leave with you this goofy picture of my VERY goofy puppy! :)

  3. Your fur baby is precious! I understand about leaving them. I have a kitty and a bunny. When I don't bring my bunny to school, it makes me sad to think of him in his cage for so long. =(

Your puzzles are cute. Thank you for sharing all of your *freebies*. If you hop over to visit me, I have TONS and TONS of *freebies* you can grab for math and literacy centers for the beginning of the year. =)
